How to Unroot the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active If you happen to own a rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and wish to have it unrooted for various reasons, then you’re at the right place! This tutorial will be guiding you on how to unroot the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. This procedure has been tested to be successful if your device is rooted using this root method. As for other root methods, it may or may not work – so you’re doing it at your own risk.

 

Before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of unrooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

 

Follow the steps below on how to unroot the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active :

 

  1. Download Odin and the Stock Firmware ( choose the appropriate firmware based on your device’s version number ).
  2. Extract both files to your desktop.
  3. From the extracted files, search and double-click on the Odin program.
  4. On the program, click on PDA and then choose the firmware that you have extracted earlier on ( Step 2 ).
  5. Once again ensure the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked, while the Repartition remains unchecked.
  6. Switch off the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.
  7. Turn on your device by pressing Volume Down and Power buttons for a moment.
  8. Once it turns on, hold on to the Volume Up button to boot the device into Download mode.
  9. Connect your device to the PC using a USB cable.
  10. Click on the Start button in Odin.
  11. It will begin flashing the stock firmware to your device.
  12. Once done, reboot your device.
  13. Congratulation you’ve successfully unrooted your Samsung Galaxy S4 Active!
